FTP (File Transfer Protocol) |

What is FTP ?
FTP (file transfer protocol) is a standardised system for transferring files from one computer to another over the internet. FTP existed long before the web. |
| |
Why use FTP ?
FTP is a manual service as it requires you to drag and drop the files into a directory on our server and create an order form in word/wordpad/notepad and email us the order form.
We have two other services CrystalPixPro and ROES pro that completely automate the procedure, have secure online payments (CrystalPixPro) and have many other advantages. See Digital Printing Guide for more information on printing options etc..)
FTP is ideally suited for customers who tend to ...
- use Apple Mac's
- require bespoke print sizes
- do not want to use our automated software
- just prefer to use FTP
- are a Schools customer who have very specific requirements
|
| |
How does it work?
- You click on a link below and request an FTP account be set up
- We set up your account and email you your login details and some supporting documents.
- You install ftp client software (see below) and login to our server.
- Drag the images that you require printing to our server using the client software
- Complete an order form in Word/Notepad and upload it along with your files. Once the orderform has been uploaded we know that all files are uploaded and ready for processing. An MS Word Order Form is available for download here
